Bachmann’s 170 might be showing its age now, but it still adds to a scene just nicely.

It might have all the detail of a pencil sketch, but there is a lot of charm in Hornby’s 142 model, I feel.

Frustrated to find this exploded in a box and no one admitting to it. It’ll need $13 worth of parts so it’s not a big issue luckily.

Bought secondhand with the side rail missing, it was a 2 year wait until parts became available. Well worth the wait though.

Inconclusive results, as nobody knows who, where or when it has happened. But you can imagine my shock as I pick up the box only to hear 4000 bits instead of one big one.
Couple broken tabs, but looks like it could be back on the rails I hope. But genuinely disappointed to be honest.

The MRSB thoroughly recommends investigating your layout electrical output before use. This DMU trip caused passengers to go temporarily blind as the internal lighting imitated the Sun. The issue was discovered as a sleeper train shorted out and melted at the bogie frames. The electrician responsible was sentenced to the electric chair,…

In 2013, the MRSB found the driver of this Hankyu set to be in breach of common safety practice. He subsequently was banned from driving for 10 minutes and was not allowed to have biscuits with his cup of tea.

It’s not the end of the world if details go missing. A piece of plastic cut to shape and coloured will go unnoticed unless you happen to be looking on purpose for flaws.
