Question 🙋♀️
Hello everyone! I have a few questions, because I am currently building my second layout, Gatherley Cove. Firstly, is the dapol hawthorn leslie the sort of loco that would work on a quarry. Secondly, can someone explain to me what electrofrog points are!? I’m a little concerned that there aren’t any electrotadpole points for sale. Where have all these frogs come from? Save the frogs guys. Finally, what is the best way to stop light bleed in resin? Many thanks, J

I can only answer for the last one. I stop light bleed in plastic and cardboard by painting it black inside (usually two coats) and if there are windows, finish off with a lighter colour that can be perceived as a painted wall, not a black cover. Important to know, I usually use my less on a lower voltage than they were designed for, so that already softens the light.

Electrofrog points are model railway turnouts with a live, metal frog (the V-shaped intersection) that provides continuous power, reducing locomotive stalling and improving reliability, especially for small engines.
Unlike Insulfrog points that have a dead plastic frog, these, often made by Peco, require insulated rail joiners on the two vee-rails to prevent short circuits
a explanation from WWW at https://www.hearnshobbies.com/blogs/news/a-guide-to-insulfrog-electrofrog-and-unifrog-points?srsltid=AfmBOooPZ51lzTTz6jwlOABHPatCpyiNgcQE77PYEXWn6qBC-so0_qA7
