Brought along my FS Gr740 no.696 to the model railway club last night. This is the only sound fitted loco I own! (I still champion DC)
Paired with the FS coal wagon and DSG coaches as usual. I kinda like this consist.
Also, the Islander project got to see our Lynton & Lynmouth 009 layout.

With model railway club night over and done with, I decided to spend the evening working on the Islander, in heels!
Not that they add anything of benefit to the loco, but as a trans modeller, It’s another part of the life I’ve been living since March. Just gotta get used to wearing them regularly rather than for a 1 minute laugh.

So the Isle layout is almost done, photos soon!
The locomotive is picking up a bit of speed now. Details are being applied, the chassis frame is painted, the wheels need painting (ganna keep them red but oily), and hopefully tomorrow the locomotive will be at a stage where it can be sprayed black.

Something I never got quite finished in time before Awdry 2025.
This was for the last diorama challenge set by the Talyllyn Railway, but due to other commitments for a video project, I never really did finish off my diorama.
Perhaps with this new group I’ll have the motivation to complete this in my spare time. We shall see.
