It’s the early 70s and we caught this Amtrak train heading over the spillway towards its terminus at Crescent City. The engines are Rapido and the cars are a mix of Walthers and Rapido Trains Inc. .

Even though this is the 80s, the car wouldn’t have looked much different a decade earlier.

What you can model in the 1970’s could be surprising. PC 60104 a New York Central USRA clone boxcar in company service of some kind at Galion, Ohio on March 21, 1977.
