Having spent my last career working for Queensland Rail, I got a lot of ideas. Track and infrastructure is an never ending project. Track alignment is a constant. I had a set of track workers all given jobs but for two. They’re going to be surveyors. I need a theodilite . There is one but works out at $36… Ugh.

My version of a famous station structure by the great John Allen for his Gorre & Dephetid RR.
Like a game of Tetris, everything fell together. I had the two elevations when I realised that I could add a third line to mimic Allen’s only my version is a dummy track and modelled as being restored from dormancy. -

This lot should see me out I reckon. Having begun to finally run out of Woodland Scenics ground foam, it was time to save some money and make my own. Log transfer scene. Real dirt. Metal Kings flat bed semi's..sans flat beds.. I made castings of these trucks too. Kadee log skels. I think the meta data on these should say around 2000…

Many years ago I was a member of a local club. Some of the N scale structures I thought would look better if they were straighter and not completely primary colours, so I took the home and had at them. I thought a scene would be made larger without needing more structures by creating a vacant lot inbetween with ghost walls left stuck… Read more

A bloke just has to have a bit of a go at things. I decided to extend a spur line. The track was really close to the backdrop and the train wouldn't look at that good casting a shadow across the valley beyond… so I decided on the 12mm Forest.
