Hello everyone, my name is Matt, and I am known to a few as The Modelling Novice. I recently rediscovered my love of model railways, and I have been documenting my first attempt at building a layout. I have had no prior experience of Modelling, hobbying or crafting so I hope my warts-and-all approach gives fellow newcomers the confidence to have a go, and at least give more experienced modellers a laugh at my expense.

As well as my first layout build I post YouTube videos of running sessions, exhibitions and maintenance attempts, as I try to keep a fast growing collection of (mostly) old second-hand locomotives running.
