I am currently embarking on a journey to build a semi-modular, HO Scale layout based loosely on the eastern extent of the Southern Railroad’s Murphy Branch from 1945-1953. While I have included the “Asheville” roundhouse, the line picks up in Waynesville, NC and runs to Sylva, NC. This is layout build number 5 and will feature handlaid code 70 track and switches. I am also the group organizer/admin for the Southern Railroad Modelers group here on Model Train Media.
