Welcome to the group! I figured It was a matter of time until someone started a group on the subject, so why not start one now?

I understand that some modellers would turn their nose up at something like Thomas or anything connected to him. But I feel like we live in a time where that interest is slowly starting to become more accepted. Especially now in the 80th year of celebrating the release of The Three Railway Engines, It’s never been a better time than to be a fan of Thomas the Tank Engine.

Just like trains in general finding itself in a more accepted society, Thomas is just as well starting to be more widely respected. One only has see the spectacle of what was the finale of Awdry 2025 at the Talyllyn Railway, or watch ‘An Unlikely Fandom’ by Brannon Carty to have a good understanding about how the franchise has helped people grow, develop and learn about the world around them, about who they are, and in one way or another has helped them find work in what they love!
