Here’s my first go at weathering a set of open hoppers. I think they turned out okay…but I definitely have a long way to go toward making it look more realistic.
I did a base coat of translucent white to give the black finish a faded look. I used a variety of different methods next, but mostly stuck to streaking the sides with acrylic and then going over everything with some weathering powder.
