Pro tip! If you’re going to put your newly-sprayed rail car in the oven for a low temp cure:
1. Make sure the oven is ACTUALLY set to low temperature

As one project nears It’s end, another one starts!
I’m making a new railway crane out of this Tri-Ang one with a more realistic control cab, with a vertical boiler! The boiler in question is made from a gaugemaster(?) solder tube.

I had fun last weekend at the Watercress Line’s Bricks Weekend running my GWR Autocoach train on the branch line layout which was built by my fellow members of LUKR (LEGO UK Railway).

Initially I though of grinding off the face of the model. Kinda glad I didn’t do that (despite already trimming off the edge of the nose). It was better to cut out the face entirely, which meant more creative freedom on the back of the loco, and also I have a new face!
