Notifications will get to be a problem for users and the site admins, won’t they? I hadn’t been keeping up with them and had about 400 notifications. The UI doesn’t seem to have an option to delete all, and I haven’t looked yet but if there is an option to autodelete after x days or only keep the latest y, it may be a good idea to make that…

If anyone is going to be in the Markham, Ontario area on Saturday (September 20th), the guys from Railview Historical Association are having a free open house from 10:00 – 3:00. They have a great, and large, layout of Southern Ontario. Worth the visit! At the same time, George’s Trains will be having their annual Customer Appreciation Sale…

Pro tip! If you’re going to put your newly-sprayed rail car in the oven for a low temp cure:
1. Make sure the oven is ACTUALLY set to low temperature
2. Don’t walk away and get distracted by something shinyFollow me for more helpful tips 🤣

As one project nears It’s end, another one starts!
I’m making a new railway crane out of this Tri-Ang one with a more realistic control cab, with a vertical boiler! The boiler in question is made from a gaugemaster(?) solder tube.

I had fun last weekend at the Watercress Line’s Bricks Weekend running my GWR Autocoach train on the branch line layout which was built by my fellow members of LUKR (LEGO UK Railway).

Initially I though of grinding off the face of the model. Kinda glad I didn’t do that (despite already trimming off the edge of the nose). It was better to cut out the face entirely, which meant more creative freedom on the back of the loco, and also I have a new face!
