Had wee play with my “Vintage” N gauge locomotives most are over 30year old and had them running around on my Kato pocket track set up which is my attempt at an inglenook.
One of the best runners was D3579 a class 27 bought from Pastimes in Glasgow, now sadly gone, bought for the vast sum of £12 the rest were bought from the Model Dockyard around late 1970s most ran well especially after a little drop of light oil , a few reluctant runners mainly the two Lima British Rail Class 31 diesel locomotives seemed to have slipping gears and are in need a little TLC.
The standard class 7 Britannia a 4-6-2 managed to go round the track ok but the BR 9F a 2-10-0 okay on the strait but would not attempt the curves.
