• S Scale Crossing Module In The Works!

I began this module about 5 years ago but had to put it aside after a move… but I’m hoping to get restarted on it soon. It is based on the idea behind an old HO module I had started building but was never happy with… then I left HO for good and dedicated to S, so I figured why not upscale it to S!?!

The concept is based on two railroads crossing and interchanging with one another in a smalltown setting. The main prototype is found in Fairfax, SC, but similar railroad meet points can be found in other small southeastern US towns… and one in Canada as well. I have not yet decided between the two track plans shown, but one or the other will be chosen… and possibly modified a bit.

It is a BIG module, but I built in some ‘lightening’ techniques that also lend themselves as wiring routing access holes. I am also going to be installing two (one on each side) grab handles to the inside of the side fascias so that I can carry it by myself. It is surprisingly light even at a full 4′ X 8′ length!
