Bachmann’s 170 might be showing its age now, but it still adds to a scene just nicely.

It might have all the detail of a pencil sketch, but there is a lot of charm in Hornby’s 142 model, I feel.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this.
Earlier this year I picked up a Bachmann 8750 Class Pannier tank engine, BR 9600. It’s a great little engine, but it has yet to turn a wheel under my ownership as it does not have DCC.
There isn’t really any good information in the box to show what type of decoder is needed, so I am asking those on…- View more comments

A working class Princess.
This is British Railways Princess Coronation Class Pacific number 46243, the “City of Lancaster”.
I got this Hornby model was purchased from Rails of Sheffield and I also took advantage of their weathering and DCC installation services to not only make the model ready to use on my layout, but also to give a unique look… -

The very first OO Gauge steam locomotive I ever bought.
A friend of mine who collects British trains on the side introduced me to Accurascale and their brand new SE&CR P Class tank engines, including the famed “Blue Bell” from the Blue Bell Railway. I had this exact same locomotive in toy from from Ertl in their Thomas & Friends line. I made a… -

While I model trains in the United States and Canada, I do own a small fleet of OO Gauge models that I bring out for fun!
Some of my more colorful ones are these Rapido Trains U.K. seven plank open wagons each painted up for one of the master mechanics of the Big Four.
As is expected from Rapido in any form the details on the cars are very… -

Hi All!! Great to see this community up and running and I’m really looking forward to seeing it grow! I’m mostly into 3D printing locos and stock, and running them on modular layouts like T-TRAK and mini diorama modules, mostly N gauge stuff but looking at TT120 soon too. Here are a couple of shots from my recent projects.
I’m off down to the…

Hi everyone, I’m Steve. Wow, social media just for us train modellers, who’d have thought it. Looking forward to seeing what comes up on here. I was born and live in the UK and I primarily model US railroads, but I do dabble in models from my home country. I also have a railway related YouTube channel called The British Railroader, so will…

I was born in Australia and grew up in mainly in New Zealand and at the age of 13 we went to visit my stepfather’s family in the UK. I remember seeing a Class 08 shunter. It blew me away. I had never seen a shunter that big in my life. In NZ the shunters I saw in my home town were significantly smaller and ran on narrower gauge track than…

I haven’t lived in the UK for a while but am a huge fan of UK rollilng stock and railways and I’m especially interested in UK Z Scale, such as making custom locomotive bodies that aren’t available in Z. I’m still new at modding and milling, working my way up from wood and clay to be able to make or kitbash a Baby Warship or other model that…
