Thomas is praised by The Fat Controller for being “really useful” on my O gauge layout approximately 30 years ago.
Thomas was a borrowed model that I used at an exhibition. He was an Ertl body on a Pola-Maxi chassis.

Here’s a pair of micro layouts I’ve built. The smallest one is built in a small presentation case for a set of knives. I got it with some parts for a display case in it and felt that I NEEDED to squeeze a layout of some sort inside it. Not only that, but I wanted it to be completely self-contained. Complete with the train and extra tracks…

A couple of photos of a layout I’m helping to restore for a car museum in Gippsland. The layout was donated to the museum – without any trains included. It was a DC layout with everything operated manually. We’re converting it to a fully automated DCC layout. Been working on it now for over 2 years. Still a long way to go.
