PROJECT: Rainbow Sun pt.2
The chassis has been run in, but the pony truck needs a rethink.
The boiler fittings on the top have been removed, an unthinkable task but that’s what I did!
The tender has… had a coupling removed…

As one project nears It’s end, another one starts!
I’m making a new railway crane out of this Tri-Ang one with a more realistic control cab, with a vertical boiler! The boiler in question is made from a gaugemaster(?) solder tube.

Initially I though of grinding off the face of the model. Kinda glad I didn’t do that (despite already trimming off the edge of the nose). It was better to cut out the face entirely, which meant more creative freedom on the back of the loco, and also I have a new face!
