Changing to pine trees
At first I did not like the look of how it was turning out so I wanted to try pine trees and I decided I am going fully for this.

Dry brushed for the first time!
I finished the last bit of static grass and added subtle dry brushing to bring out more depth and texture. The difference is small… but it completely changes the realism.
Next step: ballasting the last parts of track properly
After that, I want to upgrade the trees to something even more realistic.

Today I proceed with weathering the ballast.
it was actually my first time ever dry brushing ballast so I was very curious to find out how difficult it would be.
When starting out I expirimented with a small part of track on my layout.
